This May, One Communications is running a Text to Win promotion with a special trivia on Guyana’s Independence and History. Throughout the month, all One Communications customers will receive various SMS with multiple-choice questions, and every week, twenty (20) customers will be selected as winners of Genesis Independence Events tickets.
The Independence Trivia is valid from May 1st to May 24th.
All active One Communications customers will receive three multiple-choice questions per week via SMS from (592)620-2828. Customers can reply with the letter of their choice and receive an entry into the weekly draw if their answer is correct.
Yes, all One Communications mobile customers (prepaid and postpaid) can partake in this campaign by replying to the SMS with the letter of their choice.
Each SMS reply to the questions costs $500. This applies to both prepaid and postpaid customers. The charge will not be taken from the SMS allocation of their active plans (if any), but it will instead be deducted separately.
Yes, customers can reply to one question multiple times. However, they will still be charged $500 for each reply, but their responses will only be counted as new entries if their answer is correct.
Draws for the tickets will be held on May 8th, 15th, and 25th and twenty (20) people will be randomly selected as winners on each of those days.
Yes, the person who sends the most texts will be awarded two tickets as a special prize.
Yes, on Tuesdays, there will be double entries per correct answer.
No, customer entries for one week do not roll over to the next week after the draw. They will need to correctly answer the new week’s questions to earn more entries for the next draw.
Every time a customer responds to a question with an answer, they will receive an automatic SMS informing them of the number of entries they have, along with:
- The end date of the promotion
- The double entries on Tuesdays
- The SMS charges of $500
